Can I learn how to be a radio journalist?
What is a good feature/story made of?

In Radio Workshop we'll cover the basics of radio work. Regardless of your skills in the beginning of the camp, by the time you leave, you will learn how to produce a radio interview or a radio document.

The camp begins with an idea and ends with having a finished product. All interviews and products will be published at Nuotta radio.

To participate you need an imagination and an adventurous spirit! Even the shyest one may have a radio journalist inside, so don't hesitate to participate in radio workshop! This workshop is for everyone interested in media and especially in radio work.

If you have a Zoom or other recorder, bring it with you to the camp. You can also pack with you a laptop. We'll be using Audacity editing programm to edit the material. You can download it free online. If you don't have a recorder and a laptop, don't worry about it!

The workshop teacher Leena has worked as a journalist for newspapers and for radio as well as publicist in different kinds of projects. She has also taught basics of radio work in Middle East. At the moment she works as a publicist for a congregation in Turku, Finland. Her freetime she spends reading books and doing media work.
