Confirmation camp for teenagers 7. - 16.6.2012!
Confirmation is time for studying the basics of Christian faith and then making a commitment to follow the faith. It is a tradition in many churches to baptise children at a young age. Then it is important to study the meaning of the faith later. In Finland this is done during the year when you turn 15.
A confirmation camp in English language is arranged together by the International Evangelical Church and the Finnish Lutheran Mission. This particular camp is meant for those who speak English as their mother tongue, or who do not speak Finnish. The teaching is following the Lutheran Catechism, but considers other church traditions as well. The teachers are from the International Evangelical Church and the place for camp is the beautiful Mission Center owned by the Finnish Lutheran Mission.
Time: 7. - 16.6.2012
Location of the camp: Kansanlähetysopisto, Opistotie 1, 12310 Ryttylä (Hausjärvi).
